This is typical since the advent of the digital camera. Everyone is a photographer! BS...Don't get me wrong, I will never give up my digital camera and go back to film for several reasons I will not go in to, but a person like the one who shot the pic of the rock should learn how to shoot a picture before buying out the camera shop. All the equipment in the world may not help this person.

I think the "rock" is a comet the Rosetta space mission landed on. It's just a spoof really. Pretty funny all the silly comments.

I hope this was an attempt at satire (which, in that light, is quite funny BTW)...

The "rock" is 67P aka Churyumov–Gerasimenko
67P/Churyumov?Gerasimenko - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and the "snapshooter" is the ESA:

...the fun part is that they actually have access to most "all the equipment in the world"!

NCN is a satirical site, everything there is satire.
Read some more of their posts, you'll get some laughs.

This is either brilliant satire or brilliant trolling. The fact that it is hard to tell the difference is precisely what makes it so.
NCN is a satire website. No worries.

Yeah, I got that. The point I was trying to make was that I could easily see those kinds of responses being made on a real photo forum.
I think that was the point of the satire ... or at least one of them.

Photography satirists are the lousiest proofreaders.
It needs more typos, as their common on the web.
