For me, something slightly wider than normal. So yes, the DA21 would be about perfect.

For general photography I prefer a fast 35mm lens on my 35mm film SLR.
For APS-C that would translate to 24mm focal length.

I,d vote for a 24 mm. But you can buy very good old manual lenses (which are perfect for landscapes) for a few bucks, so you could get a series of them

If I only wanted one lens, it would be the DA35 Ltd macro.

24mm focal length would be best (both for landscape especially including people)..

If 15 or 21 for that matter....I'd go HD over SMC....$ being the same...... but I'm not into starbursts for starbursts sake.

The HD coating can't do starbursts? Just asking..

It's because of the rounded aperture blades.

Yes it can, however because of the rounded blades they are not as pleasing to many. The HD coating (arguably) further improves the flare performance and possibly other image aspects of the lens.....minutely though given how good the performance was anyway.

Love those photos there Gray. I like the morning feel where the sun is rising and you could feel its rays slowly touching you and the fair the gust of wind or air that pass you by.

Never done looking all photos in the 15mm club page but there are all admirable and lots of Pentaxians just have the skills and the eyes.

But I can't deny that I love photos with starbursts in it.
