I'm actually playing with my K-5II, 18-135 and DA 50 F1.8 almost as I type. I'm trying to sneak some more pics of the cats, checking out the two lenses and the camera to see that they are okay. So far I've mostly been playing with the prime. I like it. It's pretty good in dim light actually, fast...

Congratulations. The 03? It's a very nice little lens, weighs nothing, nice images. I put a piece of inner tube around the lens to hold down the focus (which is too loose on many 03s) and that has made it a MUCH more useable lens. Enjoy.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went for a walk today with the 03 and found it a bit tough to focus. I got a bit better with a little practice.

You're welcome, actually Crewl1 (Larry) is the one I borrowed the idea from and also who (if memory serves) actually sent me a length of inner tube for the 03! It has really enhanced my appreciation of that little lens.

Our family do our gift exchange at Thanksgiving, because one person is never in town that day. Mom was very generous this year, so her gift turned into a DA15, DA 21, and a DFA 100WR. Yesterday I ordered a used flash and a third Cactus V5 trigger. I guess I can say that Santa brought me an early Christmas gift since I had had no intention of buying a new camera in November. But it arrived anyway. And then, since it was such a cute thing, I just had to accessorize it with a DA40 and the Cactus V5 duo. So I've had a very Pentaxian holiday season!

I bought myself for Xmas a K-3 w/grip and an AF540FGZ. Got a huge deal on the strobe, only $50, new. The package is still in the US but a mule will be bringing it over in early January. Happy, happy!

What's that then, so they (Irish) make it too... is it anything like our real whisky?

Uhuh, my Ruby and Skully have a new pal. (I haven't named the K5II yet though. I'm not sure about what, but I'm sure it will come to me eventually.) I did post pics, but apparently you all missed it, lol. K5II, 18-135 WR and the 50 F1.8, all for $599. It was one amazing deal, I think, so I helped Santa out a bit, though my credit limit is deader than Elvis now. This was definitely not a planned purchase, cough. I'm attempting to revive it by selling some gear on Amazon. :P

I'm having a lot of fun playing with it all so far though I honestly do not get the two wheels thing. They do the same darned thing from what I can tell from reading the manual so what's the point? The layout on this one is a little weird and it's really taking some getting used to, but I'll get there. Obviously the memory of my whole experience with the K-7 and it's buttons has left me. Compared to the K-x and K-30's using this camera seems really strange...

The lowest I've seen a K5II and 18-135 combo used till now was about $799 and this one had the DA 50 as well for $599? It was a total no brainer. I scooped it up and RAN...
