I've been very lucky that way. Both of my K-30's came at sub norm prices too for used models. I had no major plans for a K5II, not really. I'd kind of given up on it because of the K-30's. At over $300 even used I did not think I'd be getting the 18-135mm for a while if ever, but there it was with a DA 50 prime no less for little more than the going cost of the K5II body? Less than 2100 clicks besides? It was an insane deal I thought for the $$$.

I'm actually not sure about the K5II. It's a bit of a beast compared to my K-30's. If I sold it again with the 18-55 WR I'd get nearly all I paid for it. I'd end up paying $100 maybe for the 18-135 and DA 50. That would be the practical thing to do. I probably should be good and flip it and spare my budget that big hit but I'm thinking I want to try selling some other stuff first. I don't need the K5II but I kinda like it, grin, though it is harder for me to use so, ah dunno. On one hand I don't need it and it would be too naughty of me to keep it but I kind of want to. :P I would not give up a K-30 to keep it though, no way. If something has to go it's got to be this, or lenses...

Decisions, decisions, sigh.

so I couldn't stand up and played myself Santa after all... I bought second hand FA 20 mm yesterday.

There has been some DA21 temptation recently, but FA20 won this duel. I have to admit that the FF aspect played some role... Another partial argument was F2.8 (FA20) vs. F3.2 (DA21).
So if nothing else, I have now at least one wider lens FF compatible.

Aww, thanks! It's *very* outdated... Wolfiepup's been keeping me on my toes, and as a result the wolfies are sadly neglected....

I'm really enjoying the k-50. So little noise compared to my k100d and it's amazing what I can bring out from underexposed shots, even with the shadow and highlight functionality switched off. talk about liberating!

I got it second hand, but it came with only a shutter count of 700. Somehow or other it's already gone past 1,000 in the last few days, and I'm struggling to not use it.... kinda defeats the purpose right? I think part of the reason why was because it was originally set to continuous shooting. talk about rapid fire!!!! have now disabled it.

Going to the beach next week, so will put the WR lenses through its paces then

Yes, have been hiding in Singles In, and that's about it.

Congrats on your haul. Sounds like a bargain of the century, and Happy Holidays to you too!

My girlfriend said she always wanted a nice DSLR so I picked up a K-5iis and the 18-55mm WR lens for her. Playing Santa for myself, I splurged on the FA 43mm Limited... I love this lens on my K-50! And I'm sure it will be great on my old K1000, which still works ok... but I'm about to send it in for its routine 20 year CLA

My fiance gave me a voucher for "Pro photo session" with some local photo hot-shot, believing that's what I want, since I am never on our pictures. Guess I'll just get myself a tripod before she'll get some other idea.....

While on holiday in Taiwan, a Christmas treat in itself, wifey encouraged me to snaffle a slightly overpriced Sigma 17-50 f2.8. I love its versatility, but am not convinced about its fairy-dustiness... She bought herself a whole bundle of pretty stamps - which gives me an idea...
