My best lens is my DA*55 F1.4. I would gladly trade it for the 70-200.

Sure. I'd be giving up my dfa100mm (non-wr). I have an older 100mm macro I can make use of during my 'year of the telephotos (and that collapsible thing)'. At the end of the year I'm assuming we can sell off what we don't like and replace our orignal lens?

Or I'll pick up a dfa100mm WR from the get go, it's not an exact replacement:P

No. My best/favorite lens is my DFA Macro 100mm 2.8 WR. You can't pry it out of my dead hands. I am going to be buried with it.

What and give up my "Ladies", dream on.
LOL - I have the A* 85mm myself. I hadn't considered it my "best" lensI because I am enjoying getting to know the DA 15 Limited so much. But that lens is priceless - I don't use it often as I just don't enjoy manually focusing things on my K50 that much. I need to ask you about how you enjoy your split screen and what was involved in setting that up and how metering works for you at some point.

No. All my best lenses are glorious, compact primes, (FA77, DA15, K28/3.5, etc). Wouldn't trade any of them
for a big, heavy zoom. Well, not unless I could immediately sell the big, heavy zoom and buy back the prime at
a profit.

I'm assuming I only have to give up my 100mm for a year to bypass the cruel punishments.. I could do that, a change of pace lens wise could end up instructive.

Hummm that's a third question. Would you give up your FAVORITE lens to avoid the marshmallow and chocolate diet and the Butthead marathon... I would be sorely tempted to say yes to that one.

Best = most expensive, then I'd reckon it would be the DA 40mm XS...
I'd do that in a heartbeat, even with the clause that I could never buy it back again ever for as long as I live.
...plus the milk-marshmellows thingy, obviously!

Maybe. But I'm pretty sure I would break no law by, umm, "taking care of" anyone trying to impose such a thing on me...
