VICTORY!!! K-3 now a Pentax

The K-3 was added to the Pentax page today!! It is now the 103rd Pentax camera listed in Camera Finder.

https://www.flickr.com/cameras/pentax/

We still have a long fight to get the Q, WG and 645 series added as well as the K-S1 but this is a big step. Having the top of the line Pentax body absent from flickr was not a good thing.

Thanks to everyone who supported this effort!

Ranked #2 in popularity, to. It looks like the graphs haven't updated to reflect anything yet, but whatever is used to measure popularity has.

EDIT: I'm surprised how tenacious the K-x is as far as maintaining popularity and use. I knew it was a good camera, but dang.

K-X is right up there but it looks like the champion, by a very large margin, is still the K10D.

Yeah yesterday when the K-3 was still a Ricoh it had over 1 million images uploaded. Give it a few days and I will bet it updates.

The K10D has the advantage of being an older model that has proven to be very durable. I suspect that most K10D that were sold are still in use by enthusiast photographers.

Apparently, the K-3's designation as a Pentax is limited to new uploads and is not retrospective.

I just got my K-3, but I gotta say, I cut my teeth on the K-x and it is an amazing camera. I could have/should have sold it to fund my K-3 and LBA, but I don't think I can part with it.

Have to agree. I like it so much that I now have two of them.
