Vote to get the REST of the missing Pentax cameras added to flckr

One down, many to go. The K-3 is FINALLY in camera finder and FINALLY listed as a Pentax. Now we need to get the rest of the missing Pentax cameras added. please vote here:

https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/211185-us-flickr/suggestions/6994656-list...tax-cameras-in

It took a week of solid action to get the K-3 added. Another week of making our voice heard and we can get these added too!

I voted too. Although I think you should write on Ricoh's facebook site about this - they would probably have an easier time convincing flickr.

This issue has been around since day one with the K-3 and Pentax is not the only brand where various models are missing. It is my impression that the camera finder feature is sort of the neglected step-child of the Flickr feature set and that there are no designated resources to maintain its database. There are similar issues for various lenses as well.

man i wish Pentax would have a page like that, where you could post how Pentax cameras could be improved... sure, the no 1 spot would be taken by "make a full frame", but maybe usability improvements like "in playback mode, zooming in should center on the focus point used" would get heared.

anyway... 67th.

I'll meander over and vote. However, in the mean time, a better question to ask is why is there any manual labor in this at all? Flicker can certainly detect when an image taken by a new model/camera is uploaded via the EXIF. Just automagically create a camera finder entry off that information. Is this being done on purpose in order to force additional involvement in Flicker by un-served users?

Ask flickr. Maybe they want to know if there is a community acting on flickr, other way, is nonsense this voting.
