The Market Place is getting busier ... because of FF ?

Hey folks!

The Market Place seems to be getting busier for the past 24-48 hours.... I wonder why ?

Would it be, by some obscure reason, that people are selling to fund this new "not-yet-available" FF body ?
Could it also be because of the "not-yet-available" new lenses ?
While we are at it, to fund both lenses AND the "not-yet-available" FF camera ?

I predict a surge in sales at our Market Place over the next few weeks/months!

JP

Edit ... I'll have to wait and see what the prices will be over there on the market before selling some of my great glass!

I've using it to fund a repair on my car. So, my reason doesn't have anything to do with the latest news at Ricoh.

My stuff has been up earlier than the FF announcement. More coming!

That is one very good reason to fund something with sales at the Market Place !!
Hope you'll soon have the repairs done !
Cheers!

Yeah, I saw that !

Mine will eventually reach the Market Place soon enough.
Since I have no interest in a FF camera, that means some of my great glass will end up in there.

.... to fund "something else" !

Could also be to sell/buy FF glass.

I also just listed a few items just before the announcement to fund another F* 300 that was damaged during shipping (waiting on claim since insured and hope it goes through since I found a replacement last night-not many options available with that lens) and I have a trip to Disney this June with the family. If it wasn't for the tax return, I doubt selling my entire collection of equipment would pay for that. Can't believe what it costs to go to Disney!

I'll be selling soon but unfortunately only as a necessity to pay off bills. Most painful will be my MIJ 43mm. I originally bought it with the intention of eventually using on a FF dslr, but will be sticking with aps-c for the forseeable future (long time).

If they would have pushed out a full frame over a year ago, would have been a different story. But then I may have never had a chance to fall in love with the 31mm.

All those old full frame lenses might become a bit more popular.

The FF announcement might have prompted a few to sell some gear to begin saving up for the new camera, which will likely be $2k+, but I think the recent spike has more to do with all the credit card bills that arrived in mid January, the end result of holiday shopping.

Everybody got their credit card bills for Christmas shopping. Happens every year. I used to collect firearms and saw the same thing on those forums.

I am going to be putting up my Kr and 3 lenses to fund the K5iis I bought in December. There were lots of great deals before Christmas that others may be in the same position.
