Ditch the outdated kit zoom, couple the K200D with one of the recent plastic-fantastic DA primes for a slight premium, shoot in RAW mode at best aperture and you're almost there. And without all the multi-exposure and Photoshop hassle ...

Must have missed the first post - so thanks for posting.
Great to see both Pentax and Gimp featured!
I really hate to have use Windows now - after many years of being a die hard Windows power user, I can't stand Windows now (Vista was the turning point for me and I have not look back). I'm not really a MAC person either, although I can see the merit in a MAC.

If they would only use a slightly better lens lol
But yeah, an old camera is no worse than it was. If it was good then, it is good now. Its just that technology keeps improving

Yeah I like the picture taking more than the post processing so I would never go to all that trouble... but a better lens on the pentax would get you much closer

I'd like to see the pixel peep result (before and after) of doing the same technique on that building with the D810 (that would take my computer about a month to process hahaha)

Yep, I think the 36MP FF file size is going to shock folks. 50+ MB files are going to choke a lot of confusers.

Thanks to the PP challenge here on the board, and Adam hosting a while back with a 645Z image, I got to play with a large image file, and it was much, but not too much for my humble computer. I am used to processing K-5 files though, so will still be looking to upgrade some hardware when I acquire the FF.. It's worth the time saved...
