Advertising anybody do this ?

I'm on my third Pentax. Started with used *ist for a couple years then a used k200 for a short while then bit the bullet and got a new k-5iis.

I am exceptionally happy with the Pentax brand. Even when I am not in a picture taking mood I still carry my k5 with 40 pancake when out and about. Sometimes I may only take a few pics. I just like observers realizing there is something out there other than canon and Nikon.

Generally no. I don't have a Pentax bag or strap either. When I'm out shooting the last I need is somebody stopping to tell me their brand is better than mine. Maybe I'm anti-social..........

I carry a Pentax film camera with me almost everywhere I go, usually with a Pentax-branded strap.

I welcome comments from people, even rude comments (only two in 30 years of carrying a Pentax).

My thinking has been a Pentax with a 40 pancake looks unusual compared to an eos rebel thing with kit lens. No rude comments. I like to think they think I know something they don't ( Pentax kicks a$$).

But then I've always enjoyed being the odd man out.

My strap likes to flip to the leather side out - i'm always watching to make sure the pentax remains outwards!

I've never had anyone comment about my Pentax being inferior, but I have had people comment that they thought Pentax was not being made anymore. I always let them know they are wrong. I have a Pentax strap on my K20D and I'm usually wearing my Pentax cap - black with red letters.

I carry at least one camera with me everywhere I go, but I am not a fanboy out to advertise or show-off.
