I am analyzing all this and taking it to heart. I like best idea.

My daughter is a picky eater plus the food and drink there is absurd.

I carry on the shoulders because she loves it and I know I won't be able to do forever.

The cool packs are for me not food.
We do use the ice.

How about one of those belts you use for M203 rounds or even an old school Alice pack ? Thus getting the weight off the shoulders.
