.... when on a holiday trip you turn around after having driven 100 km's because you forgot your camera !

... when you get depressed seeing selfy sticks!
The thing with the selfie sticks is so accurate )

That would depend if you are talking about:

Department of Motor Vehicles or ...
Doctor of "Médecine Vétérinaire" ... ??

You know you're a photographer when everyone you know wants YOU to do their social media pages, their work ID shots, their weddings, their Christenings, etc, etc, etc. You know you're a PRO when they actually offer you more than the offer of a free meal or a mere pittance to do it. :P

One more...

You know you're a photographer when someone asks "Did you clean your lenses?" and the first thing you think of isn't your eye glasses or your contacts but your camera lenses....

(This actually happened to me recently. My Dad asked me the night before my eye exam if I had remembered to clean my lenses, meaning my eye glasses. I had to look and blink at him for a second before I realized he meant THOSE lenses and not my camera lenses that I was using that day...)

You know you're a real photographer when packing for a trip you decide to go commando and toss your underwear rather than leave that one last lens behind...
