Perseids Meteor Shower from Ottawa?

Hi folks,

So light pollution as we all know can suck for meteor showers - is there anywhere in the Ottawa area (maybe north of Gatineau in PQ) where it's perfect for trying some long exposures of the shower this year?

Have you tried the Fitzroy Harbour area? My friend gets amazing pics of the Milky Way from that area. There's enough back roads are farmers fields to get non-obstructed shots.

maybe this will help......I try finding different locations near me using it.......even private property most folks are ok with giving permission when asked.......makes the adventure that much cooler.........link to light pollution map

Here's another light pollution map.Dark Sky Finder The blue pins are sites that may be of use. Clicking on a pin will bring up information about the site below the map. At the bottom of the map you can toggle the light pollution on and off. Slightly northwest of Ottawa is a pin marked site "Site 3616" Le tarmac "Lac des loups"
