Speaking of fast lenses, I just bought a Rokinon 85/1.4.
Well done! Enjoy!

It's hard to argue with that but since $50 is from a camera store, and $50 from Amazon, you probably can't get ice cream. At the camera store you can probably only get accessories for $50. Some things you could get with that may be Circular polarizers, ND filters, a BlackRapid cross shot sling strap (cheaper than their other straps but still very nice), lens cases, silica gel packs, rubber lens hoods, large Giotto Rocket Blaster.. that's all I can think of that hasn't been suggested already, and maybe it was. Do they sell used?

At least the Amazon card can be saved.

Nah, doesn't work - says 'buy', not 'pay'. So unless you want to go to the slave market and manage to find at least two discount slaves called 'Bill', you'll have to choose something else.

Probably this, either as flashcards or in app form. Cards that give you assignments, like the weekly or monthly challenges, for inspiration and helping you develop your skills. I have plenty of gear-- anything that gets me out and shooting more is what I need.

But if it has to be gear...I could use a softbox with grid.

I've got a Q-7 and a Q-S1, so that skews my response. I just scored a quartet of Pentax 110 lenses (ad filters and a coupe of bodies) for $43 on eBay, including shipping. I've already got a 24 mm and 50mm, a great match for the Q's sensor. I can't wait to see what the 18 and the 70 will do.

If I were budgeted to about £60 (which is your 2x $50 in local money for me) and I had to spend it on a discrete item, I'd probably raid eBay for a new-old lens. Perhaps a M 40mm pancake, or a 135mm 2.5, or save up a little more and try a catadioptric lens. Always wanted to try one of them.
More Lenses. Just keep buying lenses. Keep buying them. All money should go to lenses and lenses and more lenses. It is necessary to have over 20 lenses that you don't need. lol

Nah I would buy a decent macro flash and a cheap polarizer.
