Not so, the next total lunar eclipse will be Jan 31,2018.

Does that one coincide with a "super moon"?

As I predicted months ago, it will be raining here. I have missed all these lunar eclipses we've had recently due to weather. A real bummer. Hope some of you get some great shots!

Crossing my fingers - we have a rainy weekend ahead but right now Sunday night/Monday early morning are at 10% chance of rain... not sure about cloud cover predictions however.

A rare combination:

Typical. A once-a-decade weather phenomenon brings cloud cover into the Mississippi River Valley from the southeast Saturday through Monday. The normal weather pattern brings clouds from the west and/or southwest.

It isn't even going to rain, which we need. Just meaningless clouds.

I'm planning on it. I have a spot selected, now I just need the weather to cooperate. The forecast looks good!
I've been clouded out of all the full moons this summer so I'm hoping to break the streak this weekend!

Bummed.

Just saw the cloud forecast. I'm not going to be taking any pictures of the eclipse unless I hop on a plane and fly to Portland Maine... I can see it now. Honey I need to fly to Maine for a day... and it will only cost about the same as an FA 77 limited to get there and back.

Nope not happening.

Today is overcast, after many, many days of absolutely clear skies; so I think that this is a clue as to my photographing the eclipse tomorrow night.

Seems the cloud monster has bitten many of us. Hopefully, the forecasts will be wrong but today it is very overcast here and supposed to be through Monday, so I'm not at all hopeful.

Looks to be clear skies around here - unless we get a cover of fog... The main problem for me is to get up at 4 in the morning

No. The next Supermoon+lunar eclipse is 2033. A supermoon is slightly bigger and brighter than a normal full moon.
I hope to be out there but it may be cloudy. Would love to see some blood red supermoon photos.

Many local colleges and high schools with astronomy programs have free viewing with their telescopes.
