Organizing my stuff!

OK, I've been away for a loooong while. Today, I went through all my SD cards, transferred files to my laptop & formatted the cards afterwards. I pulled out the gear I have in the house and started organizing it. Here's what I put together:

Small (and I mean TINY) bag with K-01, F35-70 on it and 40XS in bag. Depending on the size of the AF-200FG, I might, maybe, be ale to squeeze it in there too when they get here.

Pentax holster bag with my daughter's K-x and Sigma 28-105 on it.

Crumpler 6MDH with K-5ii and DA*16-50 on it, Tamron 17-50, DA*50-135, 35mm and 50mm plastics. I might squeeze one of the AF-200FG in there. Maybe.

I think I plan to start carrying the K-01 at all times because it's smaller. (I do still need to update its firmware.)

And I still have a big, ugly brown camera bag full of other lenses. Not counting the lenses and the flashes that are in storage.

My first goal is just to start taking pictures more regularly.

I would almost get a bag to toss the Tmron in with the K-01 since you already have the range and co start aperture covered with the 16-50.

I could. I could also allow my daughter to carry it.

I ordered a sling bag from Amazon to give it a try. I normally use a backpack for Disney. I wanted something less bulky but actually padded properly for a camera. The one I currently use is insulated, but it isn't a camera bag with adequate padding.

OK. Sling bag came in. I managed to stuff K-5ii, da* 16-50, da* 50-135, da35, da50, af200fg, wasabi charger & car adapter plus extra battery, monopod strapped to the side. I think I did pretty good!

Oh. The Amazon Basics one. So far, I like it. I carried it all day at Hollywood Studios today. It held my K-5ii, da* 16-50, da* 50-135, da 35, da 50, af200fg, two extra batteries, my SD card wallet, my regular wallet, an extra cell phone, extra portable batteries for my cell phone & my camera accessories like blower, lens cloth, lens pen, etc. Oh and a monopod strapped to the side.

Add padded inserts to diaper bags to make excellent and theft resistant photo bags.

Um. No. I spent five years carrying diaper bags. Hell no. I have a cheap bag from Walmart. (Lens storage now) I have a Crumpler 6MDH. And now this. I think I'll buy a backpack with two straps next.

Haha! Make the inserts out of folded diapers.

Preferably new not used... this is not a time to recycle.

It's an anti-theft device. Used would work better.
