Who here has seen/heard "Jesus Christ, Superstar"?

To conquer death, you only have to die....

To conquer LBA, you only have to submit to it. Till there's nothing left to buy, MUAHAHAHAAAAA!!

This is what I'll be doing after Christmas. The number of film bodies I have accumulated is already sobering. The problem is that where once I was accumulating M42 glass for the K-5, now it has a well defined home on the Spotmatics and sort of gets compartmentalised, so you tell yourself you're not really duplicating your prime set any more (I have 28/50/135 in Tak and FA). And I'm not one to sell a lens which has previously proved exceedingly useful (and will probably do so again). I had actually been considering dumping my 18-250, but recently it has shone and produced some absolutely brilliant shots that I couldn't have got with any other lens. Then the DA40 went up for consideration (too close to my 50's), but Christmas will be bringing a DA15 and DA70 to join it, so it might form the core of a three-prime travel kit someday soon. And so on...

In my case, it simply means I have to buy more shelves (actually, glass display cases, to keep the dust off, because having to dust your lens collection is a clear sign that you have too many).

Over priced lenses never sell, how unfortunate... you'll just have to get the new lens while waiting for the old one to sell.

Seeing it on the shelf reminds me of the new lens that I want. My girlfriend is into photography and uses my gear. She's the reason why I own three K3's and the 10-17 fisheye.

90% of the time, I prefer to carry 2 bodies and shoot with primes. My 2nd K3 became hers so we wouldn't have to debate over who had to use the "old crappy K7" every time we went out together.

The 10-17 fisheye, I got last year and have only used it twice. It lives in her camera bag. I now fear that she's eyeballing my DA15.

All joking aside, in 2004 she bought me my first digital point and shoot camera as a gift. She opened me up to the world of photography, so I don't mind teaching her and letting her use my stuff, or giving her some gear to use. Though I can safely say that we have reached the point where my next lens purchase is sometimes influenced by her wants.

And in the classical get-down-on-his-knees-and-propose scene, r0ckstarr will open an extra-large box to reveal not an engagement ring but a shiny new FA 31.

The family that clicks together, sticks together?

Kaye three is a few years old already... The other two aren't due yet, but if a Spring delivery of Kaye one is expected, that means r0ckstarr has already been busy

Kaye two is the very retro older child from an earlier relationship. *ducks*

Hahahaha! She may be a Full Frame girl, but were not interested in having any Crop Sensors running around.
