Best Christmas Ever!

My husband got me a softbox for Christmas!

And then he drove me out to my favorite photo-taking place and sat there out in the cold for an hour and a half while I played with the softbox.

Best Christmas ever!

Best husband ever!!!

I bet the whole experience was a joy to him as well. It is a gift in itself to know you made someone you love happy.
Merry Christmas to you and your husband.

Your husband sounds like my wife. Always my proving ground for new equipment and techniques. Thank goodness for their patents and willingness to be blinded time after time. Merry Christmas!

My wife let me buy the Pentax 150-450 and use it before Christmas, she even sat in the car and read a book while I went looking for birds. Lucky man am I.

Thanks! It is indeed a self-portrait. It was taken with a K-3 and 31mm Limited, f/11, 5 second exposure, ISO 400. I like working with the 31mm and 40mm Limiteds for self-portraits because I'm not so far away from the camera that I have trouble making sure I end up in the frame, or that someone's going to run off with the camera.

I made that dress myself, too.
