Best way to host photos to share here?

Just what the title says.

Thanks for any help!

Problem with Flickr is you need to sign up with Yahoo and to register with Yahoo you need a phone number, which I don't have.

You can just create albums as part of your account and store images in there. It's easy to link them into your posts. There's a limit though (can't remember what it is). If you need more storage space, or if you really appreciate Adam and the folks here providing such a great platform for us to talk and share knowledge, you can donate and I'm pretty sure that gets you extended storage

I know I can, but I (unfortunately) can't afford to donate and am worried I'll run out of storage too quickly.

Understood. How big are your files? I always resize my JPGs to 1000 pixels on the long side, 100k maximum file size. That's *more* than good enough for posting here - really, it is. You should get plenty of use from the basic album facility here before you come close to running out of space... and then you can always switch to another host. Your images here won't disappear.

As a Pentaxian you should have a fair amount of space. You should have quite a bit of space with the gallery + albums, assuming you've already maxed out your attachments,

Good point, I forgot I am now (mysteriously) a Pentaxian.

Excellent news. Now, just keep the file sizes low and you're good to go!

I'll probably use my Album/Gallery here but not sure how long only 150 images will last

Has anyone used 500px for photo sharing?

My first year on the forum I used only the forum storage, it was fine. Periodically, I'd clear out my forum albums, especially those that got no feedback.

For Flick you can use any 10 digits as a phone number.
