I predominantly use my right eye, however for landscape shots I will intentionally compose using my left eye at times. I started experimenting a few years ago after reading about the whole right brain/left brain image processing, and I can say definitively that a left eye view of the same scene produces a desire for a different perspective/composition in many shots. On occasion, a scene that just wasn't working was actually saved by the switch. I also believe when using live view to compose, I'm really using more left eye/right brain processing, which is naturally the more creative side. For action shots, BIF, sports etc, it's 100% right eye.
I hate to tell you but the eyes unlike hands or feet are each dual wired so that any given eye feeds both hemispheres. The other crazy thing is that optically it is upside down and backwards and the right part of each eye feeds visual data to the right hemisphere (wait for it) from the left visual field.

Happy to use either eye, but mainly right, however both are kept open... much safer that way to avoid incoming.

right, mostly, but sometimes I feel like it eventually goes and then I switch to my left. It is very odd. I think it might be my eyes get dry, then they get blurry so I switch.
right handed

Left eyed, right handed, sucks to shoot a rifle. Eyes both open all the time. Pistol and pool not affected too badly, rifle is dangerous at times depending on the kick. Camera - let's just say smudges are a way of life on the screens.

Left eyed......right handed.
Left just feels natural, I've tried the right eye on occasion but it feels odd.

Re: Right or Left eye survey...

It varies depending on the camera position; since I am legally blind it really doesn't matter. I suppose I use my right eye more.

Oddly enough, with any weaponry that requires sighting I've always been right-eyed. I think the configuration of the camera lends itself to left-eye use simply because it's more centered.

left because I trained myself to do that, I like my whole face behind the camera, not sticking out halfway. And with my right eye my nose gets on the LCD a lot more, gets more dirty. But i'm right handed

Left eye more often, but sometimes right. Left feels more natural because I think it's more comfortable and more stability holding the camera.
