I like taking photos of what ever happens to be in the viewfinder. Not very fond of heavy pp.

I really like landscapes, street, travel, automotive, night/lowlight, and lately I've been getting into light painting

I am very interested in learning portraits, I've started to like have people as subjects, and I've seen some great still life work on PF, so I want to try that as well.

I don't have any strong dislikes yet.

Favorites:
1) Models / posed people (not family portaits)
2) Things in disrepair and historical sites

Least favorites:
1) Event photography. I'm never doing this again. It feels so unrewarding and random.
2) Product photography. So many little details to get right. You spend all your time making microadjustments and little time photographing.

I like landscape and architecture.

I don't hate much, but I very much dislike portraits of posed LEGO men and other dolls/toys.

Edit: Oops, I thought this was what we liked and dislike looking at, not personally shooting. Lol

For me, the order is

1 - nature, macro
2 - nature, UN - macro
3 - people,
4 - landscape,
5 - architecture.

I don't dislike any type of photography.

I like "nature" shots of any "genre" including glamour shot !
For me, I mostly wildlife photography and some (personal) family portraits when the kids come home.
And the occasional landscape ...

Love street photography but am terrible at it. I'm not particularly inconspicuous. My wife says I have an "edge".

Tend to really dislike anything that has been heavily post processed.
Just need the best tool for the job.

KS2 is great for street. Tilt the screen or set the camera down. Turn on wifi, use your iPhone to actuate the shutter. People will never know they've been photographed. Or you could simply angle the rear screen upwards and look down to compose, then hit the shutter.

Most of the old fashioned shooters can only shoot one way, with a big honking DSLR looking through the viewfinder. With this method, it is necessary to pull the camera up to your eyes, makes you more obvious.

Use a DA lens, they are better suited for street. Lenses made for digital have that sharp, gritty, realistic, tack sharp look.

I like shooting live music, motorsports, wildlife, and storms. Regular old landscapes are hard to get excited about without the element of movement and danger that storms (and especially lightning!) provide.

I dislike shooting architectural photography... you have to be SO mindful of everything beyond the camera, it is frustrating to me.

Macro flowers/weeds/etc., then nature in general (mountains, sky, pastures, skyward tree shots, etc.), and then people portraits (getting more into this). Pretty much like shooting everything, but those are the favorites. I'm happy with just about anything that I can turn into an isolated bokeh shot, and flowers really drive that for me.
