It's certainly an interesting lens, but not new- it was announced last June.

This lens has been high on my priority list of gear I need to acquire for some time now. It sounds like it's a little tricky to use though, you have to focus, then stop down manually on a clickless, non-preset aperture ring, then hit the green button to meter (though I normally use an incident meter). Also 90° is not a very long throw for a macro lens. It's going to have to take a back seat to my K-1 purchase, I'm afraid.

Other tests of this lens support the general evaluation that: 1) very sharp @ center even wide open; 2) very soft at edges and corners wide open; 3) edge/corners improve gradually, continuously all the way to f16 with only trivial diffraction effect on center resolution @ f11, and a bit more @ f16; 4) overall sharpness is therefore best @ f16, but center can be isolated from peripheral elements by "bokeh" (=soft image) f4 to about f8; 5) the shift feature can be useful, but effectively has two settings: no shift and full shift (=intermediate positions are difficult to set).
