Always Waiting...

Eight years on Pentax for a FF, six days on carrier for delivery of said K1 and now up to six and half hours for the battery to charge.

Pentax can't ever say that we're not a patient lot.

At least you already have it home.

In our case it seems like our local distribution is getting goods from Germany and I'd bet that the German office serves German market first. Shit on that. Next time I'll order from the UK instead.

What are you currently shooting with? IIRC the same battery is compatible across the K-5, K-3 and K-1.

I'm surprised it didn't come with enough charge for a "fire it up and make sure it works" shot.

Aye main camera body only, still waiting for grip... described as being in transit to the foreign country supplier (England).

Hopefully your wait will not be too long, as they appear to flowing now.

Aye I've still to charge the battery that resides in that too, it's sitting here ready on the desk... dead.

Well she's been an all time favourite of mine since my LX days, but the other "Ladies" in the harem are getting a bit restless too.

Ok update time...

K1 here: check, SanDisk Extreme PROs here: check, battery here and charged: check, but wait a minute what's this extra fully charged battery for...

That'll be for the grip that's not here, back into wait mode again.
