I'm @cokorfilm

Give me a follow and I'll follow back. Mostly film scans and event shots get put on there.

I know there is a lot of skepticism over Instagram, but I get so busy sometimes, and find it as a quick creative outlet to pick up the slack when I'm not able to get out and do the "heavy-duty" stuff. Picture-taking, no matter what the format just helps my brain!! We've all got our cell phones with us all the time, might as well make good use of their capabilities !!!

What's Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram? I Really don't know.
But I'm not totally out of it I do have some vague idea that a cell phone is some sort of wireless phone and that the "cloud", wherever it is, is not on my PC.

How many members are on Instagram and are willing to share their username below?

I think it would be really cool to get a following amongst PF members...

I use Tapatalk to stay in touch with the forums on my mobile device, but something about the simplicity of Instagram really draws me to the app...
I gave up on Facebook, and never was a twitter person.

I'll start:

@LoganHallPhotography

That's my instagram act ^

Let's get some #PentaxForums posts up there and see what everyone is shooting!

I just find it cumbersome to search through the forums for photos...
Instagram is just a single page, and if we all tagged #PentaxForums, there's a single location for all members' uploads.

Just a thought.

Cheers!
Logan

I've never attempted uploaded from my PC, I just usually send them over to my phone (either via USB when it's connected for in an email when I'm lazy) and then upload it from my phone

I don't think you can post photos from your desktop... Instagram is a mobile app that allows you to view on desktop through browser, but that's about it.

The best way to load images in my opinion is using Dropbox.
My wife and I split the 1TB account upgrade, I think it's $99 a year?

Once I upload my full-res image to DropBox, I can go into my phone and select the image through Instagram.

The great thing about DropBox is the desktop application. It creates a file folder structure on your computer so you can just drag and drop images/files to the "DropBox" folder on your computer. Just as easy as moving files around in Windows Explorer, ex: "Downloads" to "MyDocuments"

This does work, however I've found many times my file sizes are MUCH larger than the standard 10 MB limit for emails.
And my phone fills up fast (64 GB).
DropBox is a great way to store photos and seamlessly share between devices.

I figure $99 a year is well worth it!
That's 2 less stops at the coffee shop each month. Which is probably good for me anyways!

you can download gramblr. It looks cheesy since they updated it, but you can upload photos and add hashtags through that. It's what I use, you can also schedule your posts, but it didn't work too well when I used it once. Also lightroom has a plug in, you can pay for it. Someone made it, not Lightroom.
Just make sure to export your files to 1080 on longest size.

I export to dropbox and then grab the shot from there with Instagram on my phone. Works well.

I'm impressed.

When I started this thread there were 4 public hastags for #PentaxForums

Now there are 791 public posts with #PentaxForums!

Like other members have mentioned, if you don't have Instagram and you use a mobile smart phone, consider installing the app!
I know of photographers that have booked gigs, met models, sparked interest groups in their areas, sold prints, won contests... All because of their account on Instagram.

Keep posting! I love seeing everyone's work up there!
