Recommended camera repair for Russian stuff ?

Now for an odd question

I have a Kiev 6C medium format SLR and it needs repair.

Do any of you have any suggestions about who to send it to ?

The only camera repair guy I know is strictly Pentax, and you know who he is LOL.

Might try KEH. They claim to fix film cameras and not only Pentax.

This a copy of Pentacon Six. Really this is a very simple build camera. With a typically problems with doubling a frame and shutter speed. TTL is a horrible, for good metering You must use a second camera or external light meter.

I have this type camera and I using this with a very good Biometar's 80 and 120 f/2.8 and Sonnar 180mm (Carl Zeiss Jena) with PSix mount. This lenses make a good job and better photos.

I'd recommend you get in touch with Bob at Precision Camera Works.

He's a great guy and works on all sorts of cameras including some pretty rare ones. He's also the only one in the country authorized to work on ARCA-SWISS cameras and ballheads.

I say give him a call and see what he says. I'm sure he's worked on one of these before.
