Memory card's my Pentax camera's ?

Hi, I have a personal issue with anything made in Korea so that rules out, Samsung, PNY and Lexar. I have had issues with SanDisk so their out! Are there any other manufacture's that make reliable cards that Pentax users have had no issues with?

I use PNY, but they are manufactured in South Korea (apparently)....

It's going to be tough maintaining a grudge against South Korea and boycotting any products made there. They have their hands in almost as many things as China, except for the South Koreans generally make quality products...If Apple was upset with South Korea, I'm afraid we might not have iphones...or flat screens made for nearly every TV sold in the world. That said, SanDisk is perfectly sufficient excluding any rogue lemons that any manufacturer could make. That is also valid with Samsung, PNY, Lexar, Transcend, etc...It's just a battery card and they all function with Pentax cameras.

I've been using the cheap Walgreens-brand Infinitive SD cards with good luck so far. I'm pretty certain it's a re-brand of some major manufacturer. As far as SanDisk, I've been using their CF cards in my old *ist D for over 6 yrs now. Not a single card error after thousands of shots. I try to reformat my cards in-camera at least once a month or when they are full.

edit: oops, my CF cards are actually Kingston! Sorry for the mixup.

How about Kingston? According to Wikipedia, "The company has manufacturing and logistics facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Taiwan, and Mainland China."

I used to love Sandisk until a card had a huge problem and corrupted many raws. Lexar is fairly trusted these days. I avoid Sony for long time, because of problematic card.
Basically, pretty much all manufacturers these days can be unreliable. What I have been told is to use a slower, smaller capacity card because for some reason their chip is less likely to have odd problems. But I really don't know who to trust! I am back to using really old SD cards which worked well for me, and are still working well. I only had problems with cards I bought in the last 3 years.

Some people like Transcend, but I haven't tried it yet

My Transcend card reader says it was made in China, but I can't find where the cards are made. The cards have been reliable for me but like everyone else, I might just be a failure away from hating them.

Then there is also the issue of fake cards, which look very much like the originals. Be careful what and who you buy from.

Give SanDisk another shot? Most of their cards have lifetime warranties, so I'm not sure how you can go wrong They also offer the highest UHS-I performance.

I've really liked the Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-I cards, but maybe something by Kingston?

I'm a SanDisk guy, myself

Most of the memory cards I have are SanDisk and I've never had a problem with any of them. I've also used Kingston and Panasonic cards with perfectly good results.
