On Solstices and City Planning - Street Alignments for Phtography

Here are street and other alignments that favor sun rise/set. They have maps set up for metro and other locals around the world. Check out your local location!

Every year around 21st of December and 20th of June hundreds of people gather to Stonehenge to spot the fabulous attraction happening only twice a year - you can see how the central Altar stone aligns with the Slaughter stone, Heel stone and the rising sun to the northeast.

that favour sun rise/set
In Scotland we would be just grateful to see the sun... anywhere in any direction at all.

I score both Summer and Winter solstice just two minutes walk from me. All I need for tomorrow morning is a druid's outfit and some monolithic standing stones.

"There are many streets in the cities which are aligned along the direction of rising sun of the solstice. I have found all of them."

Not sure how that algorithm is deciding which streets are in alignment, but as you can see below, most of Austin is aligned in
an ESE direction, yet only select portions of select streets are highlighted. Oh well, guess it might be useful if you're in a hilly
area with a lot of winding streets.
