What sorts of places take donations of photo prints?

I'm selling prints of my photos to raise money for charity, and one of my friends wants to buy some but doesn't have room on her walls for them. So, we're trying to think of places that would be interested in donations of high-quality photo prints to hang on their walls. Do you have any ideas? I was thinking public library, public health clinic, homeless shelter/domestic violence shelter... But we're definitely open to suggestions.

OK - so the other question is - if she wants to help but doesn't want the pictures why not simply donate the money and still sell the pictures?

I took it to mean that she does want the print, but doesn't have room for it. Putting it in a public place lets her appreciate it when she goes there?

Our local hospital has the corridor walls adorned with paintings and photographs by local artists and photographers. They do, however, each have a theme.

She already had set up a monthly donation to that organization. And also, I've been having a seriously crummy couple of months, and she thought that having a little bit of success on this front would cheer me up.

Gotcha. What about donating the pictures to the charity? They could display them and get the donation. Or she could buy them and the charity could then also auction them.

It's a major international organization, so I doubt they'd be willing to handle something like that, unfortunately.

Well dang. Shelters locally might want pics. Makes it much less industrial and more like a home.

Thanks! I have contacted a local shelter which was established very recently and asked if they'd be interested in an art donation. I made it clear that I wasn't doing it for exposure or anything, I just thought they might want something pretty for their walls. I'll let you know how it goes!

I've donated prints to our local blood center. They put them in their screening rooms to minimize the institutional look.
