Flickr update on the way

The new version is being rolled out in waves over the next week. New features look nice. More importantly, Flickr's new corporate overlords, Verizon, are showing signs of continued development rather than killing off the site.

I would prefer better editing tools and the ability to do a basic raw/jpeg conversion as part of the upload. I'm not asking for Lightroom Online or anything, but the ability to tidy rotation by a few degrees each way would be nice, and the last I looked, Aviary didn't have that.

Mine was already updated. I changed the link in my signature to point to the new about page.

Mine hasn't yet but may I ask in advance: once my account (Flickr) has been "updated, how exactly do you change that link ?
Thanks !

Aviary crashed and burnt about two months and they have been promising an improved replacement ever since, apparently Adobe withdrew support for Aviary so they had to get a new editor

They should have bought Picnik years ago instead of letting Google buy it. Google never even did anything with it...It was in fact the default Flickr editor (with reduced features) until Google bought it in 2010...

LOL, so much for that, then.

I await developments with bated breath. I reiterate what I said about the desirability of a raw uploader, possibly with some middle-of-the-road default settings and the option to modify before or after you published.

What does that matter? Uber lost $708 million in the first quarter, they have never made money, but they are one of the darling of Wall Street...

Yahoo shareholders approved the sale on Thursday. Verizon's first move is to cut 2100 jobs. The article I read didn't say which parts of Yahoo are getting the cuts...but I think Flickr is an important part of Verizon's plans to compete with Google and Facebook...

About the time I get up to speed on Flickr, they roll out a new interface.

The only change I see is the addition of "About" but the rest is the same.
