I have a serious mental illness

I just spent $133 (after shipping) to buy "Over 15 Pounds of Film Cameras and Accessories" on shopgoodwill.com...

Based on 6 terrible pictures and basically no description...

Now I know there is a K1000, a P3, and a ZX-5 (I think), all three seem to have lenses. I'm sure the K1000 & P3 have 50/2s. But I can't tell what is on the AF. There is at least one other lens in the lot, but I can't tell what it is. There is a Lomography camera in there, a couple Vivitars, a couple 8mm movie cameras...But I'm insane...

If you find a cure, please let me know what it is so I can avoid it!

What a wonderful haul!

Well, maybe. I have to wait for it to arrive before I can say that...

How often do you see photographic gear sold by weight?
I hope something works!

6 terrible photos?
I think the one of the light meters is meant to be impressionist; if so it is pretty good!

On shopgoodwill all too often. Some of the stores just put everything in one listing with no description, just a weight. Others will now break out every single piece, including expired film rolls, and sell them individually...

Most impressive are the listings of like 200 Skylight filters...

That is why I have to avoid that site at all costs. I'd end up with a thousand pounds of crap and I'd probably be out a wife... It's an in-curable disease I swear.

Good luck, hope there's a gem or two in there. There's a cool strap anyway.

Every day on shopgoodwill, problem is they have not discovered USPS flat rate shipping (this haul is probably way to big anyway).

Only four of the US Shopgoodwill locations ship to Canada; the Canadian location is in my home town, so I don't have to worry about all of that temptation. Whatever is on the AF has a maximum aperture of f4. Looks like FA series.

That's funny.
Back in my art school days I used to buy clothes at Goodwill by the pound.
I know the disease well, 9 film bodies in the last 4 or 5 months. Hard to resist when it's so easy to find so much like new equipment virtually free, or absolutely free.
Maybe we should start a confessional thread to lighten our collective guilty conscience.

You are not alone!
I have a problem with buying camera equipment that often comes in bulk too. Sometimes it is a waste of money but other times..... well my wife still thinks it is a waste.
Recently bought a monopod with a missing quick release plate...and another with no head on it. Hopefully the tripod/monopod head (a Z frame thing coming from China) will be just the thing for them. A Canon Rebel XT, a Canon 20D (in the post) and so much more that I will not list.
One "lucky" buy included a pinhole camera kit, unopened in box, shown here with about 1/3 of the lenses I am sorting into keep, throw or give away (due to haze, fungus and mechanical problems) and the biggest pile...sort out at a later date.
This taken with the Canon XT, an old 28-80mm from the early 90s, well it's all got to be used.
Luckily my wife doesn't go into my shed (fear of spiders) or she would see that I also have 6 (old electric) lawn mowers and only about 200 sq metres of lawn!
