Chris
Coffee is focusing fluid. Irish coffee is defocusing fluid.

I got myself a Helios 44K-4, which just arrived a bit after the holiday thanks to the slowness of the Ukranian post.

My father-in-law got me a DFA* 70-200mm f2.8, which was entirely unexpected and incredibly generous. I had commented that my old DA 55-300 vignettes on my new K-1, like on this sunset moonrise, and he took the initiative to get me a full-frame telephoto.

Got a few shots of wildlife on a boat tour in Florida, and it is incredible. Even highly cropped, it is super sharp. Check out this Pile of Baby Gators and Vulture Feathers.

I bought my only real photography related Christmas present from auction, a Sigma EF-610 DG ST flash. It has had a battery or two leak on the terminals but a quick scrape and wipe over got it working. Just tested it with a Sigma 50mm F2.8 manual focus "A" aperture lens on the nearest thing to photography I received from my sister-in-law, some fudge....not much fudge, but a nice tin!

What Camera Gear Did You Get For Christmas?
I've spent a good part of this year chasing after the classic Puffin shot, you know the one... a beak full of Sand Eels.

So far without any publishable success, so worryingly I've been given a book.

"The Secret Lives Of Puffins"... full of shots that I should've and haven't.

So this is my photographic accessory to play about with... before the Puffin seasons begins again in earnest.

From me, to me, I got a Tamron SPAF 10-24mm Di II and a pristine K2000 ( with less than 700 clicks, from the PF Marketplace). This model was my very first DSLR and I've wanted a pristine copy for some time.
