Two that helped me enjoy it more after I got over being offended...

I have always enjoyed shooting sorts. Rifle, shotgun, camera are all the same to me. Same family of skills too. My favorite uncle taught at Rochester Institute of Photography and was fairly well know in the photography field. Wrote or co-wrote several books on the subject. Towards the end of his life my father revealed that he went into the Navy in early 1941 to learn to be a photographer. Instead he was made a gun captain and shot 16" guns on a battleship instead of a camera. I guess it's in my DNA by birth and by marriage.

I can capture a scene, or tell a story, and I share what I think is best. And it can be about me as much as I want it to be.

I have an itch to create art, but I can't paint or draw so I make photos.

Same here.

I have problems shooting too but it's much quicker so I don't waste as much time as painting/drawing.

If I take a good photograph it is because the camera that I use is far better than me.
Or is it?
