The Glass in the Path

Another interesting post from Roger at Lensrental. The thickness of glass in front of the sensor can make a lens better or worse. This would certainly make a case that a lens for film and digital should perform different on each format. Other implications too.

It was above my grasp of optics but with the graphs and photos it was understandable to someone with little knowledge of lens testing and sensor construction. Interesting.
