I can never resist a nice sheep skull photo, but people seem to think they're somehow morbid.

shot this a couple of nights ago - I love the shot... pretty much 'meh' outside of that:

This one bombed hard on Instagram:

Which is very strange because everybody else I've shown it to thinks it is really good. Instagram turns us all into Like Monsters eventually and I thought I had hit it out of the park with this one.

Taken from my office chair. Incredibly ordinary, yet to me there is something beautifully everyday about how the light hits and is filtered through these curtains
Lovely shot. Simple, but nicely segmented with different shades of light and texture.

I enjoy minimalist shots and I thought this was just perfect, but it didn't get the love it deserves.

I like this a lot.

It's not great art but it looks good and turned out exactly how I wanted it. So far the reaction has been lukewarm.

Is there any way to upload my entire Lightroom catalogue to this thread?

That's a great photo! Skulls are awesome. Creeps some people out. But hey, so do bugs. Still awesome though.

Thank you. The wonderful thing about this unloved photo thread is that it's got a higher percentage of photos that I really like than just about any other thread on the forum. I'm not sure what that says about my personal taste.

some real gems here..

I like this photo because the colours in it are almost perfect opposites...most people tend to fixate on the subject.

Even when the SMCP-FA31 is involved, and that lens can make pretty much anything look good..

Its amazing how often I'll capture a photo where I make a mistake and I'll end up liking it. (On the abstract side)
But my family & friends (i don't post much on line) don't think much of it 😕 But that's the great thing of having a mancave I hang it on my walls. I think all photographers NEED a place to hang there favorite photos.

I really like this photo - an early one from my first few 35mm BW rolls...

I used to show it to people (friends and such) when they asked after learning about my then-new hobby. Lots of "meh" responses. My wife does not like the photo either (she's the subject). Not because it is a bad pose, but because she cannot make her features - that is what I really like about it, a bit of mystery and lots of character on this shot, from my point of view.

I took this one because I really like the jumbled way in which buildings were squeezed into a triangle of land. It got nothing lol but I like it
