If you have to think about what the point of an instructional video is, they've done a crap job, by definition.

It occurred to me that with 50mm being common and uwa rare. The standard close shot was the norm. Stepping back with a tele is the natural way to look at things. If telephoto was rare and uwa were common. The talk would be feature exaggeration, lens exaggeration doesn't even sound right. "The camera adds 10 pounds"
Well we still say the sun goes down instead of the earth turns. Probably more flat earthers because we do. That is a thought for that other thread.

Lens compassion is definitely a fact. I bought an old Soviet zoom lens for my collection recently, and I have the deepest compassion for anyone that actually used it
