What if... with the new K-1

I liked those recent "what if" threads quite a bit, they are surely though-provoking.
So what if you had a K-1, doens't matter if you plan on buying it or you count on winning it here
Let's say you just got it delivered to you, what's the first thing you'd do with it?

I'd go out at night in the city center of Florence with my whole M-series kit, and enjoy the FoVs they were meant for.

Well I for one count on winning it!
The first thing would be the interminable wait for the battery's first charge. That hell of the modern world.
Then the first image of whatever is in front of me...my standard camera/lens first test. I have many images of laptops, wall clocks and cats.
Then finish my coffee and go shoot. Probably with the Lensbaby.

I already have one, so rather than predict what I would do with one, I can identify what I actually did after it arrived!

I recorded my first few days with it, including photos, at:
Barry Pearson's K-1: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

Photos of birds, including birds in flight.
Photos of yachts on a lake.
Some pixel-shift photos.
Motorsports - racing bikes.
Planes in flight - slow-moving.
Planes in flight - jets.
Motorsports - racing cars.
Another airshow - jets in flight.

+1.
Then set the alarm clock at 03.30 AM and go out shooting sunrise / nightscapes / long exposures with my new jewel.

I'd take the camera, a Helios-44-2 2/58 and Helios-40-2 1.5/85 and go out to some woodland on a bright, sunny morning for some full-frame, swirly bokeh fun

One of the first things I did with mine was some night sky shots with the astrotracer.

After the infernal battery charging delay, I put my Sigma 12-24 on the K-1 and shot a few pictures of my home office. Holy crappola! That's an ultrawide lens!

I'd put a big silver T on it with an indelible marker and hand it to Tess.

That reminds me of when Tess and I got married. Tess began her vows with "My sweet Norman", the whole audience burst into uncontrollable laughter, she had to wait a minute or two before she could continue.. Sweet is not an adjective often applied to me in any kind of seriousness.

Afterwards she said 'I just wanted to lighten things up a bit."

Certainly try my DA*300/4 with the HD 1.4x TC.
That would also tell me if this "new" (almost never used) TC is actually a dud.

Wouldn't you want one you were sure wasn't dud? Let's not get into the deplorable over sight on Pentax's part of not having a helicopter based desert island repair service for stranded cast aways.

Oops, there's too many what if threads. I'm answering as if it were the "desert island" thread. I'd delete the post but thread participants probably already have it in their mail boxes.

But I wonder, if I delete a post after a few minutes, does it still get entered in the contest post count?

Probably grab my Kiron 28 f2, buy an FA 43 and 77, and figure out when I could get another long weekend in NYC.
