I want to know your what gear you're using and what rig and software you use to edit photos!
I don't need to know ever lens you got, just the current go-to's that are always on your camera!

I recently purchased the 18-135 after upgrading from the DA-L 18-50 RE and I'm blown away!
The 18-135 really out shoots the 18-50 RE and the build quality is so much nicer.
I shoot a lot of landscape, but I've been shooting astro with my 18-50 RE with good results and I'm interested if the 18-135 can be used just as well.

I really like shoot macro photography so both my 24mm and 100mm are often with me to get some variable focal lengths in my composition.
For portraits I'm shooting with my F 50mm f/1.7 - really nice on APSC, tack sharp, and recess front element so no need for a hood!

For birding I've recently replaced my Sigma 70-300 with the new DA 55-300 PLM and I am just so spoiled now!
All other focusing systems are just SO slow!! The retractable button doubles as a zoom-creep lock. It's weather-sealed. It completely silent focusing. AND it's acceptably sharp throughout it's focal range with some excellent sweet spots.

The computer works excellent! I wanted to game on it too so I went with a 1080p IPS 75Hz FreeSync monitor.
The Adobe Suite runs like a charm with only the most intense operations slowing it down a touch.
It's the best bang for my buck, but there's compromises all around!

What do you got? What's your editing battle station like??

I have medium format, full frame and crop DSLR's and a tiny MILC. Lots of lens choices. For an up-to-date list, look in my profile. Then there are several flashes, wireless triggers and diffusers, and filters (ND, grad ND, polariser) to fit every lens which is capable of accommodating one. Four tripods. Several bags/backpacks.

What I use on any given day depends on what I plan to do. Today I'm going to an amateur football match with a bunch of old team mates, so I'll take the K-1 Mark II, the Holy Trinity and the DA*300 in my big messenger bag. To an indoor party I might take the silver K-1 and the matching Three Amigos. On an overseas trip I'll pack the KP, the DA limiteds and the 55-300. If I'm smuggling a camera into a concert I'll take the Q7 with the 01 mounted and the 06 hidden in a pocket. If I'm going all-out on portraits it will probably be the K-1 with Sigma 35 Art, A50/1.2, FA77, FA*85 and K/135/2.5. Or I'll bust out the 645Z if I really want to go to town.

I shoot RAW exclusively, and edit in Lightroom on a 27" iMac, or my 12" MacBook Pro when I'm away from home. Sometimes I use the now discontinued NIK suite, but rarely use Photoshop. Web uploads are downsized to 2048 pixels on the long side. I print to A3 on my Epson Artisan 1430.

I'll almost certainly get the DFA*50 before I go to Antarctica.
My crop kit is targeted towards compactness, so the DA*11-18 is not on my wish list.

The quality is good, but I also like the control. Paper + ink probably costs less than $5.00 a print, and I can get simple but classy A3 frames for about $10.00

I don't sell my work, but a big framed print makes a great personalised gift for loved ones.

It's crazy that 8GB is starting to fall behind eh? My mother just started using Lightroom while using 4GB! Will be upgrading soon.

I have the K-S2 too, I was really upset when the K-70 came out because it's essentially the K-S2 with 14-bit RAW, 4 more MP, Pixel-Shift, and nicer buttons.
Do you notice a massive difference in picture quality between your K-S2 and your KP (which I think has a similar sensor/technology as the K-70, no?)
Also, I'm pretty jealous about the 4K BenQ monitor you have! I'm only editing on 1080p and would love higher res.
I have the same SSD as you - gotta love the fast boot times!

Very well actually... some PF in harsh light, but its resolving power is immense, I have no issue multiplying it with a 2X on a 16 MP APS-C body.
I've posted a review on this forum (it's in the Lens Review section), with sample images.
I have a 200/4 as well, but I use it less than the zoom.

90% of the time I use a Samsung GX-10 (K10D clone) with a Super Takumar 20mm. And I've got various other cameras and lenses for the other 10%.

I process on an ancient Atom N330 machine using Photoshop CS2.

All I want from gear is for it to do the things that I'm personally interested in doing.

Imho k30 to ks2 is a jump and ks2 to KP is the same jump. I think k30 iso 1600 is ks2 iso 6400 and KP 12800 . Also the dynamic range at KP is a bit better than ks2 but main advantage is the controls for those who shoots in M. K30 can still act as a photo booth camera with some fixed strobes triggered via radio. Benq LCD is BenQ BL2711U I got a good price for it and 4k is actually good for editing!
