At least they posted a photo that is truthful to the actual condition. Those are great for stress relief and a belly laugh.

I can't tell you how many hours I've wasted checking out "like new condition" cars, cameras, lenses, etc, only to find "ugly" or "as is" would have been overstating it.

Oh no, minty is really bad - Mint anything always turns out to be in much worse condition than something “Like New” (which is often accurate) - don’t ask me why it’s this way. But if they can’t even commit to “Mint,” well ...

Coin collectors know Mint is better than Uncirculated, but for some reason Mint in any other product means “noticeably used.” It would be better if they just said “lot’s of potential!”

For film cameras - "Fully tested, shutter fires". Might have no light seals, but the shutter fires
"Needs minor repair" - the power zoom switch has fallen off
"Marks on screen but works fine" - really?
"Condition: New Shutter count: 3540" - my favourite!
"As new, Excellent++" - really, so why is it covered in dust and dirt in the pictures?
"No dust in the barrel" - dust in the barrel
"Some dust in the barrel" - can't see through the barrel
"No fungus" - can't see it for the dust in the barrel
"Control knob has fallen off but still works fine" - damn Pentax adding redundant control wheels again
"Used" - no paint left on the body
"Lightly used" - some paint left on the body
"Hardly used" - we haven't photographed the missing paint
"One end cap" - oh goody one end isn't scratched
"Classic" - old
"Sought after classic" - expensive and old
"Rare" - couldn't find another listed on Fleabay
"Doesn't work, some fungus, parts only" - expensive endcaps
"Selling on behalf of a friend I know nothing about it" - stolen
"Top notch optics" - in 1953

And my personal peeve, listing the filter size as the focal length

The best part is that it's actually a cheap 28-70 kit lens

The only thing even close to worth buying (if I didn't already have one). You can tell he wants to sell it from the blurry cell phone photos...

Add to that that "rare" also means:
- Wanting to sell for its weight in gold.
- Didn't actually do a search before posting if it's actually rare.
- I'm in denial this piece of crap is actually worthless.

That's like the Pentax FA 200mm macro that's listed as 'mint' on fleebay. Only problem is it has a bad case of fungus on the rear element.
