[quote=DW58;4334006]Unfortunately all my "cute" shots of Cider as a pup were lost when my young niece spilled soda all over our laptop. Have an external hard drive for back up now. Anyway, does handsome count?

Is he a Great Pyrenees? He is gorgeous!!!

Yes he is Beth. Thanks for the kind words. He will be 10 yrs old this Oct so he's getting up there. We had a small goat operation for a few years with numbers ranging between 40 and 70 goats. Cider was our LGD and did a wonderful job keeping his herd safe. We're both retired now. Mostly.

Here's Vega, my 16+ year old Whippet. All puppies are cute, but how many senior dogs are cute?

Bo's pretty smart. If you're going to run around being naughty might as well bring along your own water.

Well, I posted pics of Taffy - my dog. Here's a couple of my wife's miniature Dachshund Josie - taken about 9 years apart.

You would not be disappointed. Very intelligent. Also very independent. Comes from a few hundred years protecting goats and sheep high in the Pyrenees Mts with no human to give orders. They made their own decisions and that trait remains with the breed today. Sometimes I'd want Cider to do something and he'd give me this look like "yeah, I'll get back to you on that." They also bark a lot at night. Their way of letting the bad guys, both two and four legged, know that there is no easy pickin's here. Move along. But their demeanor with other animals is amazing. All our goats, both young and old, sensed there was nothing to fear from Cider. Other dogs on the property made them very nervous. But not Cider. The does were even more than happy to let Cider help clean off a newborn when he chose to. Sorry. I could go on for ever telling Cider stories.

Wiredhair pointing griffon? My brother in-law has one of those. She thinks she is a lap dog, whenever they are over.

Now for the cutest...... at my house

Finn. Just recently adopted from the shelter.

And his big sister Pepper.

One thing's for sure. I seriously doubt that there will be any posts here I don't "like." There is a special bond between us and our canine family members that will always express itself in the photographs we take of them. It's called love. And I see it in every image posted so far.
