Spokane is really nice. The river front and falls are worth the time. As is the whole riverfront park. They used to have a tram ride over the falls, not sure they still do.

Not specifically Spokane but the whole Palouse area (south eastern Washington and South Western Idaho) are filled with photo opps. 2 million acres of wheat planted on an old seabed. Also Palouse falls.

How long will you be staying?

I have read about Palouse area as well and is in my list to visit. It's supposed to be like the hills in Tuscany.
