Then someone selling a filter or a generic flash unit (single contact like the one I linked) could put "....
for Canon, Leica, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax and Sony" to cover all cases. Also, surely owners of such cameras as the K-1, K-3, and Leica M10 would be aware that eg single contact flash units are generic, they are hardly beginners' cameras - leaving aside the question of whether those owners would buy such a rubbish sounding and unbranded unit, with the ad not even saying what operating mode(s) it has.
I think the main reason is, as I said, to wallpaper the Ebay pages with the thing in the hope that the buyer will tire of scrolling through the repeats (I have seen them going on for
hundreds of entries, page after page), and simply buy one because it seems to be the only thing on offer. But are people really that stupid? IDK.
