I saw that listing and followed it. Obviously others knew what it was too and the price even a couple days to go reflected it. I bid once and bumped the price but wasn't willing to go higher without knowing more about it. I messaged the store and they were kind enough to answer a couple simple questions. They said the "silver" camera shutter fires but the "black" cameras film advance worked but shutter didn't fire. They also said both were dirty inside and out. Pictures of the cameras were terrible and they clearly thought the K1000 was the prize pig of the lot.

I see it closed at just over $200. About $198 too much.

No picture.
How stupid do you have to be to not recognize that a little more about the item such as a brand or model or even a (gasp) picture might get you a quick sale?

SLR film camera made in Japan? That is about as vague as it gets. There are limits to human intelligence, but stupidity has no bounds.

This guy is selling his "digital" camera. It is in need of TLC. Translation: it is broken. The lens looks interesting but could be a piece of junk. At least it is quite cheap - about 25 USD.

Don't mock - he has achieved the Holy Grail of converting a much loved film SLR to digital - without even needing a big lump on the back for the electronics and battery. Now if he would only apply the same technique to converting K1000's he would be providing what everyone has been praying for. I've thrown away my K-1 in anticipation already.
