ANYONE with even a modicum of photographic history knowledge could be taken in by a couple of cheap stuck-on
(& probably home-printed!) labels like those is totally beyond my understanding!
OTOH, didn't Dixons Photographic sell a lot of Zenith-manufactured/branded kit with simple stuck-on "other brand" labels -
maybe that's where that seller got the idea????
PS: that sort of attempted con should be reported to eBay as -
regardless of my "comprehension issue"! - that's as bad as something I once saw on a programme about an English-run garage in Marbella in Spain.
A customer had brought in a BMW auto convertible which had been sold to him as a hot "Irmsher M3" version - but only until it was pointed into him that the only "M3-type stuff" on it were stuck-on "M3" badges on the boot and the engine rocker cover!

"Some people" are simply
Oh So Gullible!.
OTOH, maybe we, as Pentaxians, should promote this sort of attempted con in an attempt to discredit competiting brands such as NIKON, especially with the current "interest" in old film cameras!??
PS: just reported the Zenith /"Nikon" SLR to eBay Uk as the counterfeit item that it is -
even I do sometimes have a conscience!
