Mangled, stiff focus, fungus-invested. But otherwise, a fine little street lens!

Have to admire the seller's honesty and 100% positive feedback.

Pentax K1000 1978 Vintage, Case And Attachable Lens Included | eBay

The 'attachable' lens is actually for a Nikon, and the 50mm lens has seen better days, too. Although it appears to be just the filter, you'd think they'd have the sense to remove it - unless it is stuck solid, of course. Listing states 'seller refurbished' - well, maybe they have been, but the camera could have done with some attention, too.

The description says "Seller refurbished", so what's not to like?. (I'd hate to have seen it before).

Despite having gone to the trouble of "refurbishing" (allegedly), it remains "untested". How can you refurbish something without testing it?

They probably don't realise the filter can be removed.

But wait, it "doesn’t come with film". Well, he's lost a sale there, I'm devastated. If I bought a camera like that I'd expect to find a half-exposed cassette of someone's 1979 holiday snaps still inside.

Nice ER case though.

The Nikkor lens would have been worth it if it were in better shape. Lookis as if its missing its front shroud. Pity.

The seller sounds like he was into street photography. Maybe this was the last picture he took with it :-

Attachable lens? Like I said in my previous post, I love it when clueless sellers make up new terms. That said, it saddens me that the seller didn't even bother to check that the lens will fit the camera. Nevertheless, the auction seems to be going reasonably well. K1000 nostalgia is alive and well!

The seller carefully does not state that the lens will attach to that particular camera - it is just that we make the assumption that, as it is part of a single sale, it would (or should) do so. There are often ways to use language to imply one thing, while stating another. The common term for this is p*l*t*cs.

Has anbody else noticed the screw on the base of the case is skew. Might indicate that the camera has taken a nasty drop given the filter damage and maybe bent the body.

Wowsa at the prices these seem to be going for ai am seriously tempted to unload my very clean, fully running and film tested MIJ K1000 complete with a minty 50mm f2.

Another thing that gets me is when a genuine Pentax lens is offered, with reasonable detail - then at the end the seller says 'May fit Pentax'. How can they not know ? Also, judging from some of the images posted on various adverts, 'untested' should read 'detested'.

Unusual zoom: 5-70mm
But no, it's not......

But, it's also a "lense". So much more special than a lens.
