Also, manipulation of aperture rings is not as easy on the K-1, compared to film cameras because of the prism overhang, particularly A series lenses.
Not much need to manipulate the aperture ring on A series lenses...

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....Samsung NX kit was worth big money. This ad traveled through a wormhole in the space-time continuum from there.

Samsung NX300 20.3MP Smart WiFi Mirrorless Digital Camera 18-55mm Lens Brown(pp) | eBay

Yes, a Samsung NX300 at the rock bottom price of only GBP899.99! Only one left at this special price. A once in a lifetime opportunity. Yadda yadda yadda.

Who still falls for the nines gimmick, anyway? Everybody can see that it is GBP900.

Now here is an application for a MILC that nobody has ever thought of before.

"Download the application from the playstore and control the camera remotely. Remote viewfinder, use it as a baby monitor ext. "

Although I like the A lenses for the on camera aperture control, there are occasions when I wish to manually control it. Getting to the button isn't easy with the lens mounted.

Just curious as to why... for fun or the feel of it?

Extension tubes is what comes to mind, but obviously the prism doesn't interfere there...

I can't recall why at the moment, just that I have had to fiddle with it before, and the button seems to land under the prism overhang.

But for sure, most of the time it is on the A position.

Quite a disclaimer here. Me thinks USD500 is rather a big ask for a display piece.

I'm sure it has a LCD display of some sort. That's digital...

I think the advertiser means it would take centre stage in what is colloquially called an MMTS display -

Oh my....I owned something similar back in the day, bought it as I fancied doing some wildlife stuff and it was impressively big etc...used it precisly once then it sat in a cupboard and became the ruler of all the other useless or unused kit stored in the same cupboard.

From the ad :-

Dust visible on exterior of lens is surface dust. I had nothing to wipe it with.

Wants $500, but can't be bothered to dust it?

Recently I have been interested in Zuiko lenses that can be converted to K mount. I spotted this one, but doubt I would spend over $800 on any lens.

Especially when the glass looks like this:

From the listing:

QuoteQuote:
Appearance condition : Good!! 8/10

Optical Condition : There are many fungus & haze in the lens.

Mechanical Function : No problem
"Good!! 8/10"?

"No problem"?

What is this guy smoking?

This lens wouldn't be good for burning ants on the sidewalk on a summer day.

"Perfect Zuiko 8mm f2.8"

An SF10 for $600 - looks like a bargain to me. It even comes with two lenses and a flash - better get this deal quick before someone else snatches it up!
