“It is a depiction of sweet expression” Maybe, if your name is Claude Monet.

Pentax x-300 35mm film camera (TESTED WITH FILM) | eBay

One wonders how they managed to achieve 66.7% positive feedback - friends and family, perchance ?
He has a negative feed back for canceling an order, then a positive for the exact same item sold to someone else at a much higher price. Hmmmm

I’m bidding on a no reserve auction for an Asahi Pentax K with Auto Takumar 35/2.3 which is not yet over. The same seller started another auction with the same camera and information WITH a reserve which hasn’t been met. I’m giving even odds that if my bid wins the original auction, my purchase will be cancelled with the item as “unavailable or damaged”. This has happened to me before.

What at first looks like a nice lens turns out to be a dud, with fungus.

I am by no means an expert, but are you sure that that is fungus ? To my eye, it resembles the oil contamination mentioned in another thread.

Any flaws in this lens is not reflected in the asking price...

Here is what seems to be a good one, for not much more.

Yes, a flaw such as fungus pretty much makes it worthless. Sure, it could be disassembled and cleaned, but that can cost 50 to 100 bucks at my local camera repair shop.

Nice looking lens.

Still, the price is way beyond my range.

Check this out......
A Minolta 50mm f1.7 for a mere £231. Once you take it out the box you are down £200.

I bought one in as new condition recently for £31... ok I didnt get a cardboard box and polythene bag with mine but its indistinguishable from a brand new lens.
I have seen a vew of these old new stock things and I cant see the attraction. The lens could still suffer ills sat in a box unless its been kept warm and dry for its entire life and even then the lube could have dried out from lack of use.
