Perhaps it's the late-series edition. ME Super, super F1, K1000... hard to tell 'em apart -- they all look identical.

It looks to be in decent condition, and the seller has a 100% positive feedback, so there is that.

Camera2

Nothing, and it does not even work. I obeyed the "Mouse over image to zoom" and it revealed nothing further. But they say it's made by Pentax, so we shouldn't complain.

Sales don't get much worse than this :-

A camera so dense light can't escape its gravity. They really did make them better in the past.

The picture is accurate! It's a box camera in the RARE! black-body edition!

Just look at how perfectly black and scratch-free that body is! VINTAGE! MINT!

I messaged him about it - he says he 'has to check the camera'. To make sure it still doesn't work, I presume.

None of his other listings have images, either ...

Why would anyone pay nearly £15 for an extremely basic, ancient, flashgun with a GN of 11, that does not work .....

... when for the same price you could buy this one with a GN of 24 that does work ?

This is said to be a Carl Zeiss Pro-Tessar 1:4 f=85mm Vintage Contax 35mm film camera lens. That should read Contaflex. This is not a Contax/Yashica mount lens.

Carl Zeiss Pro-Tessar 1:4 f=85mm Vintage Contax 35mm film camera lens used | Newlands | Gumtree Classifieds South Africa | 585864247

The "signs of ageing and usage" is not nice. Also, the lens by itself is as useful as a chocolate teapot. The aperture is part of the camera body. Only the front element of the lens is changed on this system.

The prospect of getting 39 exposures off a 36 film should bring the bids though
When I was shooting film I consistently got 38 to 39 images on a 36 exposure roll. It is all in how you load the film, insert the leader just enough to have it stay, but not so little it falls out.

Goodness knows where he got "Opima-tic" from. It does not look bad actually, but what is that lens adaptor?

So did I. In fact when I started photography (in my teens) I loaded 35mm film in the darkroom (my father had one) so that I even used the area just after the leader that normally gets fogged. I think I got 40 shots sometimes. I believed that you had to load in the dark and I was taken aback the first time I saw someone loading film in a camera in daylight! My father used 120 film in a Rollei, so that was different.
