This old thing can be yours for ~USD330. The three "lenses" are: Canon 50/1.8, teleconverter and Vivitar 28/2.8 with a rear cap that will not come off. No rear cap for the fifty but there is a 1976 Montreal Olympic lens cap! This once in a lifetime deal includes a Pentax strap (no idea why) which means that this turkey will be showing up in searches until the eternal optimism runs out. Sigh...

And this is an "SCM Pentax 50mm F1.2 prime lens." Yes, two errors for the price of one! Sigh...

A leverectomy?
He "explains" all here :

The lens has had a leverectomy to make it compatible with all mounts, and will still work fine on K-mount as a stop-down lens.
I love the way the leverectomy is casually mentioned as a footnote, yet up front he claims it is "as new". Then he wants $450 because they "often sell for $700-850+".

What he fails to realise is that if you butcher anything, however much it "improves" it for your own special purposes, the value drops like a stone. It reduces it to the level of Ebay's "For Parts Only" category.

So what did he do with the bits he removed? Tossed them with the trash? Otherwise why not put them back or at least offer them to the buyer.

It's usually done with a dremel...And why do it to an A series in the first place? It's not like there aren't plenty of K series on the market, and Nikkors, and Canon...The Nikkor is so common it's available for less than what he wants for a castrated Pentax...

The leverectomy cannot be undone. It is not possible to remove the aperture lever. If you do that, things fall apart and the diaphragm stops working, apparently. So these Philistines just grind away the bit that sticks out and gets in the way of the full frame Canon mirror. Some just snap off the thing with pliers. It's just ghastly.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Therefore that's all that the ad contains. One picture, no description except for "extra lenses." Sigh...

An extension lens? Like I have said before, I love it when sellers make up new terms.
