If you were to peruse the “analog” subreddit, you would soon see the ridiculous sums of money people pay for those Olympus point & shoot models. People swear up and down that it’s the same lens that’s in an XA, but I am not convinced. I’ve seen one with a broken battery door and a film door that “likes to pop open so you should tape it shut when loaded” sell for over $100. Also those white and red Canons sell for anywhere between $50 and $100.

Anything film related and usably functional sells for absolutely stupid sums of money right now. We are at a point where expired film often sells for more than fresh rolls of the exact same film. It’s absolute madness.

Zoom Mju models are mostly worthless. The fixed focal length ones are overpriced. The Advantix cameras in the lot are just e-waste. And paying top dollar for anything from Goodwill is just plain dumb.
