The Northrups has now published a video review, based on an hour indoors at the launch. With pre-production models, as they say repeatedly.

They were not impressed with the autofocus, and expressed the hope that a software update will fix things. It was unable to keep up with moving subjects in the way that a D850 can. Nikon themselves proclaimed it to be a mirrorless D850 but the reality turned out to be a bit different.

That seems quite a big deal. Not really where Nikon should be at this moment with their prize and competition against Sony. Especially when they decided to go all the way to top...let's see what production model will do. Nikon guys are so used to great focusing.
